Curtis Wallace born in Flint Michigan, raised in Ypsilanti. He has spent over 25 years working in the Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor public school districts teaching art, media and yoga.  Curtis’s love for teaching, knowledge in art, silver lining outlook and strong connection to the Ypsilanti community, he felt his calling and obligation to create the Be Creative Studio.

The Be Creative Studio offers art experiences for students aged 3 and up.  Classes are both online and in-person, they host private and community experiences. As well as, community engagements.

The pandemic forced Curtis to pivot and expand the scope of the studio.  He was able to quickly adapt and offer art classes online. Through Zoom classes Curtis was able to teach 2nd and 3rd grader art classes and helped to connect families across the world through art.
